The Regie to Host the Second Assembly of Tobacco Companies from Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, and Tunsia
For the second consecutive year, the Regie hosts the assembly of national tobacco companies from Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, and Tunisia on September 14th.
The meeting is a continuation of the unique initiative that the Regie started in the region, which brings together these countries to protect the future of tobacco industry in light of the challenges faced by national companies.
The Regie’s President and General Manager Mr. Nassif Seklaoui had invited his counterparts to discuss the pressures on this sector. In fact, the Regie is proud to be the only public sector institution to take the initiative of bringing together four Arab countries.
The Egyptian delegation includes the Chairman of the Eastern Tobacco Company Mr. Mohamed Osman Haroun, the head of tobacco sector Mr. Nasr Abdel Aziz, while the Tunisian delegation includes the General Manager of the National Tobacco Agency, Mr. Sami Ben Janat, the Deputy General Manager of Cairauan Tobacco Factory, Mr. Abdel Wahab Alani, the Director of Legal Affairs at the Tunisian Ministry of Finance Mr. Jalal Al-Samaili. On the other hand, the General Manager of the General Organization of Tobacco Mr. Nader JaberAbdullah represents the Syrian delegation. In addition, an Algerian delegation is also participating in the event.
