Al-Assaad

For his part, Head of Ghzaileh Municipality Mohammad Al Assaad welcomed Eng. Seklaoui saying: “We all welcome this great man who always supports citizens and helps them stay in their land, and who always exerts all the efforts to help the citizens of Akkar”.

Al-Assaad added: “This hall is a space for dialogue, work, and great achievements for our town and its development.”

He also thanked House Speaker Nabih Berri and the Ministers of Finance and Interior for facilitating the establishment of the hall; voicing appreciation as well for the brave LAF and Security Forces.

Taleb

Meanwhile, municipal member Nahida Taleb expressed gratitude to the Head of the Municipality and thanked him for all his developmental efforts.

Zakaria

In turn, Zakaria delivered a speech in which he said: “It’s amazing when administrations cooperate with municipalities to develop the Lebanese towns. Akkar is not deprived from anything and we are witnessing the best cooperation with officials which is leading to fruitful results and services. We’ve had enough of disruption and conflicts”.

Zakaria added that Akkar needs the state’s will to operate the Kleiat Airport and the university hospital, and also to speed up the establishment of Lebanese University faculties, stressing that Akkar needs a network of roads and electricity.

“Akkar is the head of Lebanon. Will Lebanon be able to survive without its head?”

Seklaoui

For his part, Seklaoui delivered a speech saying: “I came with a salute from House Speaker Nabih Berri to the tolerant and loyal people of Akkar.”

“When working on developmental plans we do not differentiate between a region and the other. On the contrary, we work hard to support all farmers.”

“One of our developmental priorities is manifested in serving and supporting the farmers in order to keep them in their land and support their steadfastness,” Eng. Seklaoui said, adding that the cultural hall is now ready to host different activities which will facilitate the work of organizations and associations in implementing activities that serve the better interest of all the citizens.

In addition to that, Seklaoui said: “We trust our developmental and support steps as well as the accomplishments that Regie is achieving.”

“We will always stand by the side of the people and we will implement developmental projects and support the municipalities. We will always aim to inaugurate and launch new projects across Lebanon. Today a hall, tomorrow a pond, a library, a road, scholarships, and maybe a damp.”

“Wherever there is a vivid hand taking care of the land and wherever there is a farmer’s forehead working hard under the sunlight to water the land, Regie will be there. We will never wait for anyone’s call to support the people and nothing will stand in our way,” Eng. Seklaoui said.

Wrapping up his speech, Seklaoui said: “We’ve been working silently over the years to support our society and our people and we will always do so. This is our choice, to stand by the side of the honorable poor people.”

“Allow me to congratulate you all on this achievement!”
