Engineer Georges Hobeika - Board Member

George Tawfic Hobaika has occupied several administrative positions and titles in Regie, including Commercial Secretary General, which he has occupied since 2007. Prior to his current position he was Secretary General from 1992 until 2007, Deputy Manager of Industry and Chairman of The Manufacturing Department from 1980 to 1985 and head of The Planning Department from 1975 to 1979. He has been a member of the Administration Committee since 1992. 

A successful educator, Hobeika was a professor at the Engineering Faculty at the USJ University in 1975 and 1981, professor at the Engineering Faculty, the Lebanese University in 1979 and 1986, and professor at the Educational Technical Institute in 1981 and 1984. 

Hobeika holds a Diploma Degree in Electromechanical Engineering from the USJ University, a Diploma Degree in Industrial Engineering from the Institut Français du Froid Industriel in Paris and a Diploma Degree in Business Administration from IESTO in Paris. 

In his various roles within Regie, Hobeika has initiated and supervised technical and administrative studies to further the work of the Department and has also assisted in a number of international studies. 

Born in 1950, Hobeika is married and has two sons.
