Regie confiscates smuggled tobacco products in Maqneh, Baalbekk, and Dahyeh

The administration of La Regie Libanaise Des Tabacs Et Tombacs (Regie) continued its efforts to combat smuggling of tobacco products. In this regard, the anti-smuggling department held a number of raids in the regions of Maqneh, Baalbek, and Beirut’s Dahyeh where it confiscated large quantities of smuggled tobacco products and tombac.
Fines against smugglers were worth millions of Lebanese pounds and arrest warrants were issued against them and referred to the concerned authorities.
