THE MAYOUR AND PEOPLE OF EAST TAL ABBAS THANK THE REGIE’S DIRECTOR GENERAL FOR SUPPORTING TOBACCO FARMIING

The Municipal chief and members of East Tal Abbas, as well as its people have expressed to His Excellency the Director General of the Regie, the respectful engineer Mr. Nassif Seklaoui, their great gratitude and appreciation for his efforts in supporting tobacco and tobacco farmers in Akkar and for his support of many Akkari villages and municipalities with aid and developmental projects, as well as for standing by their side in all living conditions (and supporting them with agricultural tools such as pesticides and compressors, and providing grants to school students, children of farmers, who had passed their secondary school diploma). We strongly condemn the unfair campaign against the Regie for the prices it pays to farmers for their tobacco crops. They have stressed that prices are acceptable this year in parallel with the financial and economic hardship the country is going through. “Be sure, Your Excellency Director General, that malicious voices would not affect you, Keep on, for in the hearts of the Akkari and farmers, you have all the respect, goodwill, and appreciation”.
