Military training to the Regie’s Anti-Smuggling Unit at the Lebanese Army Land Border Training Center
A graduation ceremony was held for the Regie’s anti-smuggling Unit after a training course at the Lebanese Army Land Border Training Center in order to enhance their capabilities. The ceremony was attended by the Regie’s President and Director General Eng. Nassif Seklaoui, the Head of the anti-smuggling unit Eng. Muhammad Zhaher, and the Head of the training center Colonel Muhammad Al-Afi, who said that the discipline and seriousness of the participants during the training contributed to its success. As for Seklaoui, he considered in his speech that “the army is the country’s safety valve that all must feel a national responsibility to protect it.” He thanked the Army Command represented by General Joseph Aoun, the Command of Rayak Training Center and its officers and soldiers for hosting this course. He addressed the participants in the course, stressing "the importance of the military capabilities acquired during this course in order to carry out tasks during raids." He underlined that "confidentiality and complete seriousness" are essential in carrying out the tasks, highlighting "the national responsibility of the Unit in terms of preserving the reputation of the Regie, the public treasury and their resources." In the end, certificates were distributed to the trained personnel.
