Regie organizes tobacco compressing competition in Shahabiye

The Régie Libanaise des Tabacs & Tombacs (Regie) organized in cooperation with the Municipality of Shahabiye a tobacco compressing competition for the women of the stated town.

The competition was part of other activities organized to shed light on the role of rural women in planting tobacco and improving its quality.

Following the national anthem and a welcome word by the President of the Municipality Mr. Ali Rkein, the competition kicked off.

Mrs. Maryam Ibrahim Shahrawi won the first place and was awarded a gold coin whereas Mrs. Shahrazan Ibrahim Rkein and Mrs. Maryam Hussein Nasser won the second and the third place respectively and each of them was awarded half a gold coin. Meanwhile, all other participants received agricultural pesticides.

After the competition, dessert was served for all the attendees.
