JIT officials discuss with Eng. Seklaoui means of cooperation and sharing expertise

A delegation from Japan International Tobacco discussed with officials from the Regie Libanaise Des Tabacs Et Tombacs (Regie) means of providing Lebanon with the latest agricultural equipment and skills to enhance the Lebanese products.  

The delegation also carried out the needed experiments in preparation for using Lebanese tobacco in JIT products.   

Consequently, the delegation, which included specialists in agriculture and the import of leaf tobacco, met with the Director General of Regie, Engineer Nassif Seklaoui.   

In this regard, Eng. Seklaoui reiterated the importance of enhancing the relations and the cooperation with JIT in a bid to provide Lebanon with the latest agricultural technologies and equipment.   

JIT officials also met with the Leaf Tobacco Manager and the Agricultural Manager at Regie and discussed with them means of cooperation and sharing expertise to enhance Lebanese products. 

 The officials also held an experiment at Regie’s factory in Ghazieh aimed at sorting Lebanese tobacco to be used in JIT products.
