MP Terzian praises role of Regie, says Lebanon needs more similar institutions

 De​puty Hagop Terzian praised during his visit to the headquarters of La Regie Libanaise Des Tabacs Et Tombacs the achievements accomplished by Regie and stressed the need for other national institutions that have a reasonable level of social responsibility and are able to operate in a manner similar to that of Regie by abiding by the mentality of the private sector. In this regard, he noted that these institutions will have a developmental vision that goes beyond the direct profit margins and will provide the treasury with the required revenues by exporting goods with great quality and an appropriate level of competitiveness. Similarly, he called for restoring the value of the Lebanese Lira and refraining from using other currencies in the country. And despite the fact that he is not a great supporter of Regie products, he praised the efforts exerted by its Director General Engineer Nassif Seklaoui and all the working teams, pointing out that “what they have achieved is a golden stamp in the records of Lebanon.”
