Fighting Insects and Diseases

Fighting Insects and Diseases
One of the farmer's greatest challenges is the early detection of insects and disease. Insect infestation and diseases are affected by various factors, including atmospheric issues, such as a rise in humidity or mild temperatures.

Farmers can a take a number of actions to prevent disease, including treating the field before any signs of disease have been found. Farmers often also remove the lower leaves of the plants in order to decrease the chance of insects damaging the crop. Issues such as the proper ventilation of saplings, the reduction of humidity and the sanitization of the soil will also assist in reducing disease.

In order to help farmers, Regie distributes free agricultural insecticides and loans spraying machinery to the communities.
