Engineer Mazen Abboud - Board Member

Mazen Abboud has been a Member of Regie since 2004, when he was appointed by the Lebanese Cabinet. 

Through his career, Abboud has worked in various positions in the agriculture, environment and energy fields. From 1996-1998, Abboud worked as a Technical Assistant in the United Nations Food and Agriculture project for agricultural statistics and from 1999 and 2002 he served as a National Consultant to International Bank irrigation projects in the Northern province. From 2002 to 2007 he oversaw Entergto SARL. 

Abboud holds an EMBA from the High Institute for Business and a Diploma Degree in Agricultural Engineering from the American University of Beirut. At present, Abboud is working toward a PhD in Environmental Policies from the Corporations Economical Section of the University of “Twenty” of Deutschland. 

A freelance writer, journalist and member of the International Corporation for Journalism since 2001, Abboud has published several artistic books in addition to articles in the fields of environment, politics, culture, arts and literature. 

In 2001, Abboud founded the Northern Societies Union for Growth, Environment and Heritage. He is an active member in the environmental and social fields. 

Abboud is married and has two sons and one daughter.
