The anti-smuggling department at La Regie Libanaise Des Tabacs Et Tombacs (Regie) continued its efforts aimed at combatting smuggled tobacco products.
In this regard, the department held raids in Al-Boushriyeh, Carantina, Sarba, Al-SHiyah, and Al-Maamoura in Beirut’s Southern Suburbs where it confiscated large quantities worth hundreds of kilograms of counterfeit tobacco and tombac products.
Fines against the smugglers were issued and they were immediately referred to the concerned authorities.
