Seklaoui discussed with the Union of Tobacco Farmers Syndicates the measures of receiving crops
Today on Monday, the President and Director General of the Regie Eng. Nassif Seklaoui, discussed with a delegation of the Union of Tobacco and Tumbac Farmers Syndicates in Lebanon the measures adopted to start receiving tobacco crops from farmers. A statement by the union indicated that the meeting was held in Seklaoui’s office in the presence of Eng. Abdel Mawla El Mawla, while the delegation was headed by the President of the Union and the Head of Farmers Syndicate in the South, Mr. Hassan Fakih, and included the Presidents of the Syndicates of the North and Bekaa, Abdel Hamid Saqr and Ali Al Mousawi. According to the statement the meeting "reviewed the purchase prices that should be approved for the crops while upholding fairness in the sector of agriculture", adding that "there was a convergence of views." The statement said that "the discussion covered other technical aspects related to the facilities required this year due to the conditions forced by the Covid-19 pandemic in order to avoid its spread."
