The Regie has pursued its guidance activities for farmers across the regions.
In this regard, the agriculture and purchase department of North Lebanon, has organized a series of guidance seminars for tobacco and tumbac farmers, covering the following villages and towns: Al Arida, Zouk Al Hussnieh, and Sheer Hmeirin.
As well, the department of tobacco technology has participated in a guidance activity consisting of two seminars held in Al Dannieh, within the cooperation between the department of leaf tobacco and the department of agriculture and purchase.
Moreover, the team of the department of agriculture and purchase of South Lebanon has organized guidance tours and field visits during the month of March for farmers in the villages of the districts of Saida, Nabatiyeh, Tyre, Bint Jbeil, and Marjeyoun, aiming to control nursery cultivation and field cultivation, providing the necessary guidance and directives to farmers, and calling on them to apply the STP agriculture seven principles.
Agricultural pesticides have been distributed to farmers in order to reduce the financial burden on them.
