day, Tuesday, Engineer Nassif Seklaoui, President - Director General of the Lebanese Regie for Tobacco, toured the “Metn headquarters” in Bikfaya. He was joined by Eng. George Hobeika and Eng. Abdel Mawla Mawla from the management committee, who provided an update on the ongoing developments.
During the visit, Seklaoui commended the dedication of the team and urged them to persist in their efforts to enhance the quality of their work.
Continuing his tour in the Metn District, Seklaoui proceeded to the Khenchara field, where he witnessed the remarkable transformation of the site from a landfill into an olive grove.
Spanning over eight thousand square meters, this area now holds a significant environmental value, once a hub for waste disposal, emitting odors and posing environmental hazards.
Seklaoui commended this initiative emphasizing the importance of replicating it across all pieces of land owned by the Regie. Subsequently, the curtain was raised revealing a drawing depicting the history and significance of this transformative endeavor.
